Wedding Day Portfolio
Below are some favorite moments from several weddings over the years that help highlight how we document every aspect of a wedding day across an array of different venues, lighting, etc. We hope these images provide a glimpse at the variety of moments that we photograph throughout your wedding.
Getting Ready
We focus our getting ready photos on the final touches and candid moments between you and your friends and family. These photos help document the early portion of your wedding day and capture the emotions and feel leading up to your ceremony. We don’t necessarily need to photograph the whole hair and makeup process to get great moments.
First Looks
While not a requirement, we love photographing first looks because it’s a lovely moment of time for the two of you to come together and be mostly alone before the busyness of your day. It’s also the perfect time to privately exchange your vows. Seeing each other before your ceremony can free up your timeline for some early family photos which lets you enjoy more of your cocktail hour.
Wedding Ceremonies
The anchoring moment of the day and a time of the day where a photojournalistic approach shines. We make sure to document your wedding ceremony from all angles and we move around quickly and quietly to get you photos that capture tighter frames of the two of you together, large overviews that show the scene, and candid moments of your family and friends watching.
Details
From wedding dress details to wedding rings and table layouts, we know couples spend a lot of time thinking about the little things like details that make a big impact on how your wedding day looks and feels.
Family Photos
These are some of the most important photos of the day and the ones that seem to be the most printed and framed. We’ll work with you ahead of your day to get a list of groupings so we can move through this portion of your day quickly and efficiently and get you on to enjoying your day.
Portraits
When building your timeline we always make sure to have a couple of moments throughout your day for some portraits of just the two of you. This is when we focus on individual photos of each of you and plenty of couple portraits too. We aim to photograph a blend of candid moments as well as more formal portraits. If we’re doing a first look we’ll usually photograph some initial couple portraits and again later in the day usually before sunset.
Receptions
Our reception coverage is candid and documents you and your wedding guests celebrating and having a great time. As part of your timeline we make sure to be there to document toasts, formal dances, and grab some fun candids of everyone dancing once the dance floor opens up.
