Bay Area Senior Portraits

A few months ago we had the opportunity to shoot some Bay Area senior portraits with our friend Stephanie.  We managed to grab some great evening light while adventuring in and around the Embarcadero in San Francisco.  Sessions like these are lighthearted, authentic, and candid in nature.  They provide a great alternative to the traditional high school senior portrait.  We love getting the chance to document this exciting turning point for our young clients. Small Business Headshots

A couple years ago we had the opportunity to work with Kyle Smitley, a local small business owner who founded a kids clothing company called Barley and Birch.  Kyle contacted us in need of some professional headshots and portraits for an upcoming article in Inc. Magazine.  Kyle was featured as one of the top 30 under 30 young entrepreneurs in America.  We were super excited to see one of our portraits featured on the Inc. website. Flash forward a few years, we recently heard that Kyle has moved back to the Midwest but she's still hard at work.  In a few months, she'll be opening the Detroit Achievement Academy, an awesome charter school in Detroit, Michigan.  Take a minute and check out her Indiegogo Campaign and learn all about how the Detroit Achievement Academy will change the landscape of public education.  Go Kyle!

Wedding at Mar Vista Cottages

This October we were lucky enough to book another fall wedding at one of our favorite Mendocino Coast destinations the Mar Vista Cottages at Anchor Bay.  Our Bride, Judy, was all over the DIY details and of course the grounds at Mar Vista are always beautiful.  A close knit group of friends and family sat on hay bails while Judy and Greg exchanged vows.  After the ceremony wedding guests mingled in and around the glass house for some bluegrass music and local faire provided by Trinks Cafe of Gualala.  To top it all off guests were treated to a desert table of eclairs, macaroons, cookies, and more by Franny's Cup and Saucer.  As always Renata did a fantastic job hosting and we all had a great time! Viansa Winery Wedding in Sonoma

Rachel and Piyush had a lovely "classic" themed Viansa Winery wedding up in Sonoma County.  When we say classic, we're talking black tuxedos, an elegant wedding dress with amazing lace details, and bouquets of lush red and white roses by Daisy Rose Floral Design.  Live music by Keith Johnson All Stars for the ceremony and reception set the mood and kept guests moving.  We loved working with Rachel and Piyush and had a blast creating lasting memories for this fun couple. Your Civil Ceremony in San Francisco

In all the years that we have been photographing weddings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, there has been one venue that continues to always catch our eye.  The San Francisco City Hall has been on our list of places to shoot since we were just starting out.  We are excited to bring our casual, lighthearted, candid photography style to those couples who love photography and want to capture the beauty and elegance of their wedding in San Francisco. We offer a simple package for weddings at the San Francisco City Hall.  We provide 2 hours of photography coverage for $800.  This includes 1 photographer, an online viewing gallery to share with friends and family, and access to all of the final edited high resolution photos for download.  This package will document your wedding ceremony at City Hall and include time for couple and family portraits around the magnificent building.
